Bager
Sold to Arena
Posted 13/12/06
One
of Glasgow's few remaining riding assets, Dane Henning Bager,
has been sold to current Elite league club Arena Essex after
a weekend of negotiations between the two clubs.
Although
a Glasgow asset, Henning only rode around a dozen meetings
for the Tigers in 2001 before moving on to Isle of Wight and
Peterborough in 2002.
He
first rode for Arena Essex in 2003 and although he left to
ride at Peterborough for the next two seasons it was a very
popular decision amongst the Hammers fans when he returned
at the start of last year.
It was always pretty certain that Henning would stay Elite
and was unlikely to return to Glasgow but the club have benefited
from the regular loan fees received.
There
has been no indication of the amount which has changed hands
but the Arena
Essex Official Site - which broke the news - have offered
their thanks to Alan Dick for all his help in reaching a swift
settlement.
