Adams own website has today been updated with the news that Tigers fans did not want to hear - he is unlikely to be fit for the start of the season.

The full story can be read on Adam's site at the link above but basically although the healing process is going well he has been advised to refrain from putting any strain on the arm until at least 1st April. The concern is that if he tries to come back too soon a relatively minor knock could break the arm again.

With Glasgow's season expected to start around 18th March he could miss quite a few of the Premier Trophy meetings. It also leaves the promotion with a bit of a headache in replacing him whilst he is injured.

Looking at the wider picture it is however in everyone's interest that Adam makes a full recovery and sensible that he takes the advice of the experts.
