Today's Scottish Sun carries a small article that Glasgow are interested in young Australian rider Corey Gathercole but a very strong rumour today Glasgow have approached another rider who is on the verge of signing may end this speculation.

Not wishing to jeopardise any ongoing discussions, this site will not name the rider at present as it is not yet confirmed. It is, however, someone who has not as far as we are aware been linked with Glasgow to date. He has not ridden Glasgow recently but on his last 3 visits has scored a total of 27 points.

If it goes through, it would be a popular signing with the fans once they got over the surprise element, but it would leave Glasgow very weak at second string.

It certainly could be a very interesting GTSSC AGM on Monday night if this signing happens and is announced. It is understood that if it goes ahead this will be financed from outwith Glasgow Speedway.
