Danny
Shines at Rainy Shielfield
Posted 08/07/06
It
was another excellent pay day for Danny Bird as he rode his
way to a flawless 18 point maximum at Shielfield this evening
whilst guesting for tomorrows opponents Rye House.
The
conditions at Berwick were far from ideal with rain almost
continual throughout the meeting but Danny once again showed
the professional approach and got on with it, recording 5
wins, including one from a tactical ride.
It
did not stop Rye House going down to a 54-42 defeat however
as they seemed to be affected more by the continual rain than
their Berwick counterparts.
It
wasn't as good a night for James Cockle however but he managed
to record three third places from his five rides. However
he was beaten three times by last years reserve partner Adam
Roynon.
Rye
House will not have the luxury of Danny as a guest when they
arrive at Ashfield tomorrow, electing to go for George Stancl
instead. George's form has been erratic of late but he will
be keen to make up for his poor showing at the end of last
month when he only managed to score 5 points from four rides.
At
present, the identity of the reserve guest for Rye House is
not known.
