Shane Guests at Coventry

Shane Parker was in action last night at his local track when he rode as a guest for away side Arena Essex in their Elite League clash against Coventry.

Arena Essex have been badly hit by injury of late and Shane was drafted in to cover for Paul Hurry who is still struggling to recover from an injury he received at the Championship of Great Britain, which mean that Shane was riding at the difficult no 2 position.

However, Shane's adopted team were on the wrong side of a thrashing as Coventry coasted to a win by 36 points with Shane himself only scoring in two of his five rides although both were important as they involved TR's.

In heat 5, Shane and Michael Max team rode to hold Chris Harris at the back, Shane slowing considerably on the final bend to allow Max through for second place behind Allen who was well clear. Shane himself took a TR for Arena in heat 8 but after making the gate he was passed on the back straight by Billy Janniro and had to be content with second place.
