Unlucky
Lee

Although
he rode well enough in his three races yesterday, Lee Dicken
did not have the best of days as a story in today's Scottish
Sun confirms - it also clarifies the reason for Lee being
pulled from heat 12.
Just
after he had crossed the border into Scotland, Lee's van radiator
started giving him problems and he had to pull over and sprint
down to the bottom of a steep hill to get water as quickly
as possible. It turns out he was spotted running across a
field in the middle of nowhere by meeting referee Graham Flint,
which must have made the referee wonder!
Lee
managed to nurse his van to Ashfield but the brakes on the
van then became stuck on and it would not move.
After
all the hassle in getting to the track, Lee must have thought
his bad luck was over when he and Kauko got that 5-1 in the
third heat but for those who are superstitious his problems
were to come in threes. He nipped a nerve in his back whilst
in the pits leaving him in quite a bit of discomfort, withdrawing
after his minimum three rides and being replaced by Robert
in heat 12.
