Tigers
travel to Middlesboro hoping to inflict the first home league
defeat on the Redcar Bears but could well be without Lee Dicken.
Lee
is struggling to recover from the back injury that caused
him to pull out of his final ride last Sunday - an injury
he actually picked up at Newport. If unable to make it, David
McAllan and both the reserves can take his rides.
Although
Redcar won the PT meeting in a last heat decider, many factors
have changed since then and it makes tonight's meeting difficult
to call.
Redcar have been finding their way and their form in recent
weeks has improved considerably, especially at home. Recent
results indicate Chris Kerr could provide more of a challenge
than he did previously and the Bears have Kevin Little back-he
was missing through injury the last time round.
Glasgow
will also have a rider back from injury as Kauko Nieminen
missed last time although his rider replacement rides returned
7 points.
The
major difference however should be in the track. The last
visit saw three riders fall on parade and Danny fall in two
of his rides. The weather has been kinder of late though and
the track has had more time to bed in. With one of the PL's
top riders at number 1 for Redcar in the form of Gary Havelock,
it promises to be entertaining particularly in heat 13 as
long as Shane Parker has got over his engine troubles.
Tonight's
meeting at Redcar has had the start time put back to 8pm due
to World Cup football - Trinidad and Tobago's Colin Samuel
has stood on the terracing at Ashfield, or more accurately
in the bar, cheering on the Tigers so presumably that's the
reason!
