Grieves
Hits Out

Newcastle's
James Grieves hits out in today's Scottish Sun at his fellow
riders in yesterdays abandoned Pairs meeting at Glasgow.
He accuses his opponents of being 'too soft'
and is quoted as saying:-
"Some riders are
too quick to whinge about wanting a meeting scrapped. As soon
as the referee called it off it started to brighten up. The
rain was off and the track would have dried out".
Interestingly his partner yesterday, George
Stancl, was one of the riders who said the decision to call
the meeting off was the correct one.
No re-staging date is known at present and
the promotion now have the tough task of finding a date to
accommodate as many as possible.
