Finland Qualify for World Team Cup
Posted 25/05/06

Kauko continued his comeback this evening by helping Finland qualify for the World Team Cup in Rybnik on July 16th.

Kauko started slowly, failing to score in his opening two rides. He then appeared to get his bike set up sorted for the track to record two wins and a second place, making him Finland's 3rd top scorer on 8 points.

Finland won the event overall with 42 points with Germany claiming second place in a run off with Russia. A full list of scorers, courtesy of Speedway Slovenija, is shown below.

Kauko will now be on the long journey from Daugavpils to Riga for a flight to the UK to make his comeback for Glasgow tomorrow afternoon at Ashfield.

Fortunately Kauko should not be missing for any Glasgow meeting as the 16th July is the date reserved for the British Sidecar Speedway meeting at Ashfield.
