Shane Parker only just missed out on a paid maximum this evening in Sweden as Kaparna trounced Griparna, his Glasgow team mate Kauko Nieminen being the only opposition rider to beat him on the night.

When the two came up against each other in heat 6, Kauko made the gate and rode what was described as a 'tidy' race, giving Shane no opportunity to get past. It was to be the only time the two came up against each other as Kauko was excluded in heat 13.

Kauko top scored for Griparna with 9+1 whilst Shane finished the night on 12+2.

Both riders are once again in action in Sweden tomorrow night, Kauko at Team Bikab whilst Shane travels to Ornarna.
