Kus
'In Glasgow's Thoughts'
Posted 02/11/06
Following
on from last week's appearance by young Czech Matej Kus in
the Heathersfield Golden Helmet, the Speedway Star this week
quotes Alan Dick as saying that Kus is certainly in Tigers
thoughts for next season.
However
the article does then go on to highlight some of the problems
that would stand in the way of Glasgow considering his signature
- including the fact he would come in on an assessed 8 point
average as he has ridden in the Czech Extra League, an average
he could not be expected to attain in his first season. It
also highlights that he speaks little English and would really
need an older Czech rider to help him settle which will no
doubt fuel rumours about the possibility of George Stancl
returning to Ashfield.
According
to today's Scottish Sun, another possibility had been pursued
with Tigers having tentative discussions with Adrian Rymel
when he was at the meeting last week with Kus. However as
Adrian would have a minimum of 7 Sunday's with priority commitments
elsewhere he does not seem an option for Glasgow.
