Stancl
Makes Three
Posted 22/11/06
Glasgow
have surprised many by today naming asset George Stancl as
their third signing for 2007.
George
is obviously well known to the Tigers faithful and popular
on the terraces. He declined terms with Glasgow last season
electing instead to move to his 'local' club Newcastle.
It
wasn't the best of seasons for George at Brough Park with
his average dropping by over half a point but he seemed to
find form towards the end of season and his lower average
no doubt made him an attractive prospect.
According
to the Official Website, a deal was quickly sorted out between
George and Glasgow after he made contact to advise he was
willing to return 'home' to Ashfield and obviously with the
deal being sorted so early it gives him plenty of time to
prepare for the new season.
Obviously
George's signing means that Glasgow will now loose at least
one out of Parker and Nieminen with Bird already almost certainly
gone.
With three riders signed, the Official
Site has indicated there is 23.64 left for the remainder
of the team although there is a suggestion there may still
be a further 10% to come off David McAllan's quoted average
of 3.95.
