Belle Vue interest Withdrawn
Posted 15/09/06

Glasgow Tigers received a boost leading up to the 60th Anniversary celebrations this weekend with the news that co-promoter Gordon Pairman has withdrawn his interest in buying Elite League Belle Vue Aces.

There had been some concern over how this would affect Glasgow with most feeling it would probably result in Gordon withdrawing from the Glasgow promotion. Although Glasgow would still have two good promoters, the feelings expressed by Glasgow fans on various internet sites made it clear that they wished the 'Three Amigos' to remain in tact if possible.

By contrast, there appeared to be much hostility from Belle Vue fans directed towards Gordon and his bid on various internet forums. There also appeared to be issues with the Belle Vue Press Office as indicated by this weeks Speedway Star report.

The news of Gordon's withdrawal was posted on the BSPA site this afternoon and shortly after it appeared Gordon himself repeated the statement on the Easy Tiger forum so that Glasgow fans were brought up to date as soon as possible. Our thanks to Gordon for also making us aware of the development.
