Busy Weekend for Kauko

Kauko Nieminen faces three meetings in three days this weekend as sandwiched in between his appearances for Glasgow on Friday and Sunday he will also be competing at Workington on Saturday night.

Ironically it will mean that Kauko will be riding in two play-off quarter final ties for two different teams in two days - only in speedway!

The tie on Saturday night is between Workington and Sheffield and as soon as Sheffield lost Andre Compton at the PLRC they immediately started making arrangements for Kauko to guest in his place. It is a good choice of guest for the Owlerton outfit and one that also frustrated Workington's hopes to use Kauko as a stand-by guest for the injured Simon Stead.

The following day Kauko will need to be on top form if Tigers are going to have any chance of progressing when we take on Isle of Wight in the second leg of our quarter final tie at Ashfield.
