Henning first rode in the UK for Glasgow in August 2001 and completed 12 meetings to attain his average. He moved on to Peterborough in the Elite league then when changes forced him out he returned to the Premier League with Isle of Wight, finishing on an average of 6.25.

2003 saw Henning ride with Elite League new boys Arena Essex but with their change of race night in 2004 he returned to Peterborough until the end of last season.

2006 will see him back once again at Arena Essex.

Henning has ridden in internationals at under 21 level and was 8th in the world U21 final in 2002.
