Les is another of those still listed as an asset who is unlikely to ride at this level again.

Its not really possible to do Les Collins justice in a short bio.

Coming from a famous speedway family with his four brothers, the Collins tradition is being continued with Les's son Aiden now riding.

Although coming to Glasgow late on in his career in 1999 his class was still evident although sadly his average was on decline every year and it was no surprise when he left after nearly three seasons to go to Workington for a year.

Les did return to Tigers colours in 2003 but ended with an average almost 2 below his previous Tigers average.

It would take a few pages to list all Les' achievements in speedway but he was a well respected rider and a joy to watch racing. Although he has never officially retired it is unlikely that he will return to competitive racing.
