James signed as a Glasgow asset on his 16th
birthday in December 2004.
He is well known amongst the Glasgow support
as a Glasgow fan and the youngster in white kevlars in the
second half.
In 2004 he came on in leaps and bounds not
only in second half terms but also appearing for the Dale
Devils towards the end of the season and an impressive showing
in the Heathersfield Open against riders with much more
experience.
He was rewarded with a reserve slot for the
Devils in 2005 but suffered an arm injury similar to the
one which looks to hae ended Paul Pickerings career, ironically
against Stoke Spitfires in June. James spent the rest of
the season recovering from the injury and will hope to be
back to full fitness and Conference League racing at the
start of 2006
There seems little doubt that he is one for
the future and will hopefully continue to develop at the
impressive rate he has done so far
