2006
Glasgow Scoring Record
Lee has been riding since 1993 and his father was co-promoter
at Hull for a time.
He rode a few CL meetings for Buxton at the end of 94,
followed up by CL appearances for Stoke in 95 and Sheffield
in 96.
He joined Hull for his first season in the PL in 1997 and
impressed in his first season with an average of just over
5. Since then he has spent the majority of his career at
Hull with short spells at Exeter, Arena and Glasgow as well
as some time at Newport and Newcastle.
The past couple of seasons have not been the most successful
for Lee between injury and loss of form and as a result
his average has dropped considerably to the 3.31 Glasgow
have acquired him on for 2006.
There is no doubt however that Lee is capable of more.
He is a very enthusiastic rider, sometimes too enthusiastic.
Regular visitors to Ashfield last season may remember he
came close to clearing the green safety netting on the third
and fourth bend last season when his over enthusiasm saw
his bike end up precariously balanced on the top after an
overtaking manoevre on Jamie Birkinshaw!
Lee will certainly give 100% and if he can control and
channel his enthusiasm he could benefit from the change
in strength of Premier League teams this season and improve
his average accordingly.
