David Misses Derby

As had been widely expected, Glasgow reserve David McAllan will miss this afternoon's crunch derby meeting against the Monarchs at Ashfield.

As David has not yet ridden 3 home meetings, his new average has not yet come into effect and therefore Glasgow will have a Conference League guest at reserve. Nothing has been confirmed as yet as to who this will be but the smart money is on Gary Beaton who has been riding well with the Cleveland Bays and obviously knows the Glasgow track better than any other CL rider.

Edinburgh will be r/r for Derek Sneddon - whose new average HAS come into effect. Daniele Tessari and William Lawson, who were in action in Lonigo and Eastbourne respectively last night, are expected to return in time to take their place in the Edinburgh line up.
