Tigers fans got the news they were waiting for with confirmation that Shane Parker will once again be riding for Glasgow in 2008, along with Robert Ksiezak, both riders completing formalities within 24 hours of the STARs event.

Both signings were warmly welcomed.

One interesting snippet that came out that did not appear to have leaked elsewhere was that Glasgow had in fact been close to securing the return of Stefan Ekberg to Ashfield but were unfortunately thwarted at the last minute with Stefan returning instead to Rye House.

The search is very much concentrating on the signing of another heat leader at the moment although with potentially 18 teams in the league the options are limited. At this stage they do not even know if they will secure a rider who has previous Premier League experience or if it will be a rider from abroad making his first appearance in the Premier League.

Tigers do have a young Australian rider in mind that they are interested in and similarly do have interest in another foreign rider but there are still many permutations to be considered.
