David McAllan Update

Unfortunately it was not all good news at Friday night's event with the audience being shocked when the latest update on David McAllan was given.

Alan advised that it was very bad news on David with the prognosis being far worse than anyone originally thought.

His condition remains more or less the same as it was four weeks ago with David still having numbness in certain areas of his body and limited mobility. He is still able to get around on his crutches with his body brace but not very far and certainly not without considerable effort.

Obviously David will not ride again but more importantly he will be affected by his injuries for the rest of his life. There will be a benefit meeting arranged for David next season and the Glasgow promotion will do everything they can to accommodate it even if it means rescheduling a league meeting to a mid week date although it is still early days yet.

Graham Lister of Buildbase immediately pledged that they would also offer support to any benefit meeting.
