Brady
Signs
(Posted 19/12/07)
Its fair to say that signing number four has come as
a surprise to the majority of Tigers fans with the news that Ross
Brady will be riding for Glasgow in 2008.
Ross is a Glasgow asset and really needs no introduction
to the Tigers fans. He had a brief spell at Glasgow in 2003 which
was disappointing especially after all the hype of his big money transfer
to the Glasgow asset base.
He has shown though that he does have the ability and
has a league winners medal from his season at Hull in 2004. It is
widely known and reported that Ross has previously criticised the
Ashfield circuit and stated he did not wish to return over the past
three seasons when the promotion have indicated a willingness to talk
to him.
However that is in the past now and after a season out
of action following a prolonged spell of illness and injury Ross will
hopefully be raring to go and the promotion feel that it is a gamble
well worth taking on is team building average of 5.40.
Until his fall in heat 13 of the Premier League pairs in 2005 Ross
was indeed one of the best riders round Ashfield on the day and looking
good for at least a podium finish. If he can recapture some of that
form when riding in a Tigers race jacket this season - with the added
advantage of riding the track every week - it could be just the boost
that Ross needs to get his career back on track.
