Shane Says No Thanks

Although the story of Shane's crash during a demonstration ride at the Scottish Motor Show has been widely reported, there seems to be no mention of Shane's decision to turn down an offer of funds towards the repair bill for the bike.

Before the start of the main event at Tiger Tiger on Sunday night, the STARs committee made the offer of a contribution towards repair costs from their funds given that Shane had damaged his bike doing the event for them.

Shane thanked them for their thought but ripped up the cheque Derek presented him with.

In his time at Glasgow, Shane has always been very supportive of the promotional side of things and has always been keen to help STARs events. This latest gesture surely highlights again what a great asset Shane is as Glasgow Captain and once again makes a mockery of the 'money grabbing' claims often made by other teams supporters.
