Stancl a Monarch

After a short break from racing following his departure from Glasgow, George Stancl has tonight been confirmed as Edinburgh's latest signing in their attempt to strengthen their side.

It is not the signing that many Edinburgh fans were expecting and it is possibly not the rider many expected that is being dropped either. George will replace Theo Pijper who was only drafted into the Monarchs side a month ago.

The signing hasn't exactly been warmly welcomed so far by the fans but George will be all out to win them over when he makes his debut for Edinburgh against Rye House on Friday night.

When George left Glasgow to be replaced with Craig Watson his confidence was at a low and hopefully the break will have allowed him to recharge his batteries and return to the rider we know he can be.

Best of luck at your new club George - just don't come back to haunt us.
