Mixed
Start for Tigers Riders

It was a bit of a mixed start for the four Tigers riders
in action over the weekend.
In poor conditions at Stoke on Saturday, Robert understandably
looked a little rusty but used the meeting well to build up his stamina
and confidence, will have benefited from it
and more importantly came through it unscathed.
Meanwhile up at Berwick Lee S
and Trent were also facing unpleasant conditions as they rode for
the Andersons select against Berwick. Trent had a decent night and
looked comfortable despite the rain. ALthough failing to score in
his last ride, he managed 5+1 from his previous three. Unfortunately,
Lee did not have a good night with his engine blowing on the very
first lap of his first heat whilst he was leading comfortably. He
only had two more riders after that and got one third place but the
warm up meetings are all about getting problems ironed out.
On Sunday at Newcastle George
Stancl turned out for his old team and gave indication that he is
raring for the season to start. He opened his account with a very
convincing heat win and went on to record another win, two seconds
and a third.
Next up to take to the track for
the first time this year will be captain Shane parker who is due to
ride tonight at Belle Vue in the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy.
