Robert Ksiezak secured his place in the semi-finals
of the Individual Speedway Junior World Championship last night at
Rye House, finishing as one of the seven qualifiers.
On a wet and tricky track, he rode sensibly and with
confidence, impressing the sparse crowd and featured in one of the
best races of the night up against Woffinden and Batchelor.
At the end of the night his 9 points, from one win,
two second and two third were enough to see him through to the next
round which will see him appearing at either Vojens in Denmark on
the 16th June or Daugavpils in Latvia on 17th June, depending on the
draw.
It will be the first time that Robert has raced competitively
in mainland Europe although it will see him missing at least one,
if not both, of Glasgow's meetings that weekend (away to Berwick on
the Saturday and home to Somerset on the Sunday).
Well done Robert.
