Tough
Test for Tigers in Norfolk

Tigers are in action this evening in the first of two
away meetings in two days as they take on King's Lynn in the first
leg of the Premier Trophy semi-final.
King's Lynn are, like last season, one of the favourites
to lift the league title this season and have an excellent home record,
beating tomorrow nights opponents Sheffield by 75-15 there already
this season. Of their six named riders, all of them currently have
home averages in excess of 10 points, quite an achievement and an
indication of just how tough things will be this evening.
If there is a perceived weakness, it will be in the
Stars reserves. they are still operating guests for the injured John
Oliver but Simon Lambert, who is guesting tonight, knows the track
very well having ridden there at Conference League level for Boston
and had a spell at reserve for King's Lynn at the start of last season.
Of course Tigers have their own ex-Boston rider in their
line up, David McAllan. David's form this season has been impressive
and he will be looking to do much better than on his last visit with
Glasgow when he failed to score. Fellow reserve Lee Smethills also
didn't enjoy his visit to the Norfolk Arena last season when he only
collected one point riding at number 3.
Trent himself identified King's Lynn as one of his better
tracks on Sunday, Robert has ridden well there in the past although
Lee Dicken may struggle.
A lot of pressure will be on Shane and George tonight
to lead the way in the scoring stakes. Both are capable of being formidable
opponents.
King's Lynn have suffered from their last two home meetings
being rained off but the weather this week has been kind and it is
expected that the track will be dry this evening and possibly a little
more slick than usual.
