Owlerton
Test for Tigers

Glasgow face their second tough away meeting in two
days this evening as they take on Sheffield at Owlerton this evening
in the Premier League.
Like last nights opponents King's Lynn, Sheffield are
seen as having a big home track advantage but following on from last
night Sheffield will be concerned that they may well not get things
all their own way tonight.
Both sides are expected to be at full strength. Sheffield
have three riders - Compton Ashworth and Wilson - currently in the
top 10 Official Premier League averages although a number of riders
are not yet included as they have not yet completed 12 meetings. In
50 home heats this season Andre Compton has only bee beaten twice
- an outstanding record - although Shane and George in particular
will no doubt be hoping to add to that tally tonight.
Glasgow will come up against two recent ex-Glasgow Tigers
in the form of Owlerton expert Jamie birkinshaw and glasgow Asset
James Cockle. In the main body of the side at Owlerton, Birkinshaw
is likely to be a major thorn in Glasgow's side this evening although
the reserve tussles with James Cockle will be interesting.
It may seem like a very difficult task but if the Tigers
can go into the meeting with the same attitude they had at King's
Lynn last night they could pick up a few more points than many expect
to give a chance of the bonus in the return on Sunday.
