Good Show from Shane

Shane Parker had a successful night at Cowley this evening guesting for the Reading Bulldogs in the Elite League encounter against Oxford.

Riding at number 5, Shane scored what has been referred to by the Official Reading Website as a 'fruitful' paid 13 on a heavy track which had absorbed a lot of rain in the previous 24 hours.

A win and three paid wins out of six rides is an impressive achievement for any away rider in the Elite League and shows just how well Shane is riding at the moment. The fans were even treated to one of Shane's spectacular outside sweeps when he came from the back to pass both Oxford riders in heat 15 to join his partner Greg Hancock on a 5-1 in the last heat decider.

Hancock may well grab all the headlines with his maximum but Shane certainly got the plaudits of the majority of the fans on the terraces for a gutsy and entertaining display.
