STARS December Event

Hello all. Well, just under 2 weeks to go until the first STARs event of this close season, just thought I'd mention in some finer details of what you can expect.

The event will start at 7pm with a post Conference report from the Glasgow promotion which should in itself be interesting given the rumoured agenda items for this weekend's BSPA get together.

It is also hoped that, since the points limit will then have been agreed, the promotion will be able to announce at least our first name on the 2008 team sheet.

I'm also led to believe that there may also be a major announcement from them on the night although this cannot be guaranteed to have been concluded by 7th December .. but if it is, then I'm certain you'll all be impressed!

Obviously the main element of the STARs event will be interviews and questions (from you guys too) for the panel of Messrs Tatum, Morton and Pairman. Have you thought of your question(s) yet?

As you'd expect there will also be some surprise elements as well as the not-so-much-of-a-surprise being a prize raffle and a speedway auction which will feature amongst other things the following:

• Glasgow No.1 racejacket (2007) .. worn by Stancl, Watson, Havelock and Lyons
• Glasgow spare (unnumbered) racejacket (2007)
• Glasgow speedway package: complimentary admission for 2 adults (with children) to opening fixture of 2008 inclusive of pits access to meet riders and viewing from pits zone
• Belle Vue speedway package: complimentary admission for 2 adults (with children) to any non-televised 2008 fixture (date to be pre-agreed) inclusive of pits walk, centregreen viewing and exclusive access a reserved area of main stand.
• bundled (7 in total) Belle Vue programmes from 1970's signed by Chris Morton

Also on the night will be:

• '100 Club' draws for November & December (each for £150) **NB** application forms will be available on the night, with any applicants being entered into these draws
• Track Shop (your chance to pick up some last minute Tigers themed Xmas goodies)
• First Bend Videos, being sold by Mandy and Colin Mackie at the shop on behalf of Brian Logan (inclusive of 2007 highlights)

I am also hopeful that STARs will be able to announce details of our next winter event with some tickets being available on the night for those who would like to ensure their seats from the likely stampede!

That's about it, add all these things up and we'll have ourselves a cracking little night of pure speedway indulgence.

Tickets will be available at the door on the night however only those who pre-purchase their tickets via Colin Mackie (01236 429910) will be entered into a special draw on the night to win a memorable experience and momento of the evening.
