Parker Out for Season

Tigers were dealt a blow yesterday as it was confirmed that captain Shane Parker will sit out the rest of the season after his heat 3 crash in the Redcar meeting.

Shane suffered head, wrist and leg injuries in the accident and unfortunately a specialist confirmed that he has damaged the medial ligament in his knee.

Such an injury takes quite a bit of time and intensive physiotherapy to heal - in some ways it may help that it is the end of the season as Shane cannot be tempted to come back too soon.

However he will be a major miss for the Tigers in their assault on the Young Shield and other meetings not just on track but in his role as a captain off it.
