David McAllan Update

David's mum has posted another update on David's progress on the forums and it reads:-.

I visited David in hospital last night, he is still very sore and gets tired very quickly.

The physio-therapist had him out of his bed, with his body brace fitted, he took a couple of very tentative steps before sitting in a chair for just under an hour. He has now taken his first steps to recovery.

Due to suffering nerve damage he still cannot feel his lower body. It is too early to say if the nerve-damage will or will not recover, however, if you touch David’s legs he can feel you touching them, his lower body in his words feel “numb and heavy”

He was more cheerful last night and he definitely has not lost his sense of humour!!

David was certainly missed last night at the End of Season Dance but it is great news that he has started on the long road to recovery.
