Robert seemed to be more or less out of speedway but started racing again last season turning out in the hastily put together field for the Heathersfield Open at the end of October.
He is another rider who started at Linlithgow in 1999 at conference league level, riding conference league until the end of 2002.
He had a brief spell of 3 meetings in the main team at Glasgow in 2000 due to injury but managed an average of 2.22 in his 9 rides.
