Lee was the fourth member of the 2006 side to return for 2007 and the final member of the 1-7 to be named.

He has a wealth of experience and although he didn't manage to re-capture his scoring form of the late nineties he did quickly become popular amongst the Glasgow fans for his attitude on and off the track. When things were going badly last season he offered to leave to allow the club to bring in a replacement, an offer that was rejected by the promotion.

Lee made it clear in the press prior to his signing that he would love the opportunity to return to Glasgow to try and repay the faith of the promotion and fans in sticking by him last season. When, after signing six riders, Glasgow were left with just over three points for their final position Lee's experience made him the obvious choice.

Along with David McAllan, Lee also had to ride in the main body of the team last season but has been granted dispensation to start this season at reserve, making him one half of the most experienced starting reserve pairing in the Premier League.

Lee did not end the 2006 season empty handed as he claimed the GTSSC trophy for the Rider Who Scored Most Bonus Points.
