3+1 for Trent at Ipswich

It was a difficult night for Trent last night at Ipswich, scoring 3+1 from 5 rides for the Young Eagles and Roos as they went down by 51-44 to a Young Lions side.

According to the Ipswich report, Trent 'found the going tough' and that was certainly the case in his opening ride when he struggled and unusually for Trent was off the pace at the back, albeit behind Travis McGowan, James Wright and Piraterna's much fancied teenage star Linus Sundstrom.

Trent finished at the rear again in his second outing although looked more on the pace in this one before picking up third place in heat 9 when German rider Sonke Petersen - a team mate of Anders and Peter at Grinsted last season - suffered an engine failure on the opening lap.

He faced Petersen again in heat 11, this time beating him over the four laps for another third place.

The meeting finished with three nominated heats. Trent found himself out in heat 14 and finished his night with another third place behind the two Madsen's, Tom P and Leon.
