Lee at Stoke?
(Posted 01/08/08)
Stoke have announced in a Press Release that they have booked Lee Dicken to guest on Saturday in place of Barrie Evans for their home meeting against Sheffield although this has still to be ratified which may be a problem.
As we understand it, only a rider currently at reserve in another 1-7 can guest at reserve for another club. Barrie Evans has been riding at reserve for Stoke and unless the team riding order is due to change it looks as though Lee may be ineligible as he rides in the main body of the team for Glasgow.
Hopefully this will turn out not to be the case and 'The Lee', whose form has been superb in recent weeks, can earn a few extra coppers from a decent guest appearance near to home. It all depends however on Evans actual position in Stoke's riding order.
Speedway Regulations 18.1.5:-
To cover: Absent #6 and #7 Riders (by CMA)
Facility
PL: Guest** (for the missing Rider with the highest CMA)
CL Guest (for the other)
** The Guest must be riding as a Reserve in his/her own Declared Team.
