Peter Gains Experience in Danish Finals
(Posted 08/08/08)
Peter Juul got a chance to mix it with some of the 'big boys' of world speedway at Outrup in Denmark tonight as he was one of the riders taking part in the second leg of the Danish Final.
In reality, Peter was not really expected to do much more than make up the numbers given the strength of the field but he gave a very good account of himself and will have learned much from the experience.
He was out in the opening heat and claimed a third place ahead of Henrik Moller before finishing at the rear in a strong heat 6 against Nicki Pedersen, Charlie Gjedde and Henning Bager.
Peter claimed his only other point of the night in his third outing in heat 10 when he beat Stoke's Klaus Jakobsen.
Although he finished at the rear in his final two rides he was certainly not disgraced and rode very well on the night in a high quality field.
The overall winner of the Championship was Nicki Pedersen ahead of Hans Andersen with Niels K Iversen finishing third.
