Derby Meeting Off

Today's scheduled meeting with Edinburgh at Ashfield in the Premier League has been called off with the track apparently having suffered irreparable damage due to the heavy rain during the week.

Its a surprisingly early decision considering the distance the opposition will be traveling and has certainly not gone down well in many quarters.

From a Glasgow point of view it puts off the return of Shane Parker by another few days and gives Robert, Trent, Lee and Josh extra time to recover from the knocks they are carrying - it is believed Josh may have missed this afternoons meeting although the others were expected to ride.

No date has as yet been arranged for the re staging.
