Ksiezak a Brummie
(Posted 13/12/08)
Robert Ksiezak has become the first of last season's riders not returning to Glasgow to be officially confirmed in another teams 1-7 and it is no real surprise that it is Birmingham who have announced his signature.
Robert had indicated before the end of last season that he wished to move on so that he could hopefully ride on Poland on a Sunday and that he also wanted a Midlands based track to cut down on traveling and increase his potential for guest bookings.
He impressed at Perry Barr on his four visits last season and it is probably one of the worst kept secrets in speedway that, points limit permitting, Birmingham and Robert were keen to team up for 2009.
Birmingham have reportedly offered him a considerable financial incentive to finish the 2009 season with an average in excess of 8 points - he joins them on 6.62.
Robert remains a Glasgow asset and we wish him well for 2009.
