Josh Second in Mauger Gold Helmet

Josh Grajczonek followed his recent second place in the Queensland U-21's with a second place in the Ivan Mauger Gold Helmet solos at Labrador.

The solos event was running as back up to the Queensland Sidecar Titles but the riders had no intention of playing second fiddle and served up what was a tremendous afternoon's entertainment.

Josh and King's Lynn's Darcy Ward were probably the stand outs of the meeting but Trent Leverington also rode well and claimed 3rd place.

In the early stages, Josh was to get the better of Darcy but when it came down to the final Darcy came from behind again to pip Josh to the chequered flag and claim the win.

The Sidecar title was won by Jason Aldridge and Duane Dennis whilst the junior event was won by Queensland U-16 champion Nick Morris
