Steven has continued to ply his trade in the Conference League with the Redcar based team and appears to have settled into this level of the sport for enjoyment. He may find it difficult in 2009 as rumours are that Redcar may not run at this level and it would be a shame to loose such a popular rider at that level.

He is thought of as an entertainer and apparently had a tendency to ride the boards a little erratically at times to add to the entertainment - hard to imagine for those who saw Steven finish runner up to Matej Kus in the 2006 Heathersfield Championship when he always looked well in control.

His only appearances at Premier League level were back in 98 when he rode 6 meetings for Edinburgh and 4 for Newcastle and its fair to say its likely Steven's riding is now only likely to be entertaining the fans at Conference League level .
