Undoubtedly one of the most popular riders amongst the fans at Glasgow, the points limit pushed Trent out of the Glasgow team for 2009 and his new side, Newcastle, will definitely reap the benefits of his nature and experience.

With Shane Parker missing a large part of 2008 due to injury and injury, Trent once more stepped into the breach and proved an excellent captain for the Tigers. A lot of pressure was put on him because of the make up to the side and Trent worked tirelessly for the Tigers on and off track.

Trent has been a Glasgow asset since he came over to the UK in 2003 at the recommendation of James Grieves. He didn't actually start speedway until 1998 at the relatively old age of 18! Before then he was like so many Australians a decent BMX rider and is also a decent longtrack rider, usually competing in longtrack meetings back in Australia over the winter.
