Josh is one of the current crop of exciting Australian prospects who have come over to the UK and he certainly impressed in his first season, finishing on an average higher than his 5 point assessed average - no mean feat for a youngster so far from home on strange tracks. He won both the home rider of the year and away rider of the year from the supporters at the end of 2008.
The current Queensland Solos champion, he has just competed in the Australian Solo championships and later this month he is due to compete in the Australian U21's.
Josh has been riding speedway since he was 12 years old and showed steady progression in that time. He has held the Queensland Junior title and the Queensland U21 in addition to being the current Queensland Champion. Like many of the Australians he also rode dirt track and longtrack, winning junior titles in both events..
2009 will be a big year for Josh and he has been given the additional boost of being named as no 8 for Belle Vue in the Elite League.
